LEAGUE INFORMATION

The Milwaukee Drivers (formerly known as the WI DoT) Golf League plays every Thursday during the golf season. A round consists of nine holes. Tee times start at 3:44 pm with 8 consecutive foursomes. For the 2024 season, play starts May 9th and ends Sept. 12th.

The league is made up of 8 Teams (4 golfers per team). Each team has a #1, #2, #3, and #4 golfers. You only play against a golfer in your respective position. One point is awarded for winning 'Medal Play' (lowest overall round score) and one point for winning 'Match Play' (highest number of holes won).

A system of substitute golfers is available should a member not be available for a match. The league is competitive but social at the same time. When it started it was mostly made up of DOT employees. Today, however, its members are from all employment disciplines.

One of the unique aspects of the league is that league play is not limited to one course. We play only Milwaukee County Parks golf courses (of which there are seven this year). The courses are Brown Deer, Whitnall, Grant, Dretzka, Currie, Oakwood and Greenfield. Also, the schedule includes playing the back nines of the courses with exception of Currie and Brown Deer.

2024 Member cost is $409.00 which includes 18 rounds of 9-hole golf and two team events with hole prizes and cash awards. Rain-outs are rescheduled on Tuesdays. The prize and cash events are held during the midpoint and final round of the year. At the end of the league season the winners of each half play for first place. The membership fee covers all costs except the banquet. The banquet ends the season and the member is responsible for the cost of the meal served at the banquet. Banquet attendance is optional.
